The 15th annual SAMMY Awards and Hall of Fame gala will be held at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas on March 23 at 4:30 in the Casanova Conference Room 602.

Esteemed winners will be recognized in 12 sales, marketing, business and installation categories, including the Installer of the Year and Integrated Installation of the Year awards. A highpoint of each SAMMY Awards program is the SSI Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Last year, Hall of Fame inductees included Allen Fritts, president of Honeywell Fire Systems; George Gunning, CEO of USA Alarm Systems; Ken Kirschenbaum, managing partner of Kirschenbaum & Kirschenbaum; George Lippert (deceased), co-founder of the Security Industry Equipment Association (later SIA) and Alarm Installer & Dealer magazine (later SSI); and Mel Mahler, chairman/CEO/owner of ADS Security. This year's class will be revealed and profiled in SSI's March issue.

Matthew Ladd, president/COO of The Protection Bureau, has finally given his father and company founder Keith the trophy he always desired the most. For years, Matthew would triumphantly bring SSI's SAMMY (Sales & Marketing) awards back to his dad who would say, "Great job, you should be proud. But where is the Installer of the Year?"
