LAS VEGAS — A new award program is being introduced at ISC West designed to recognize alarm companies for establishing practices that help prevent false alarms.
Security Sales & Integration and Honeywell Security are co-sponsors of the Police Quality Dispatch (PDQ) Award, which is being announced to the public at an April 7 news conference in Las Vegas by the Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) and the False Alarm Reduction Association (FARA) in Las Vegas.
“All of us recognize that for security systems to provide optimal protection for users, they must be installed properly, their owners must understand how to use them and they must be monitored and answered in a timely manner,” says SIAC Executive Director Stan Martin.
The winning alarm company will receive its award from a law enforcement representative at a local ceremony and be honored at next year’s SSI SAMMYs event during ISC West. They will also be profiled in SSI. Visit www.siacinc.org for more information.
